With a unique and versatile voice that can turn from bluesy holler to gentle whisper in one phrase, Adam Norsworthy is fast gaining a reputation as one of South East England's finest singers.
Best known as the singer and lead guitarist in renowned UK blues band The Mustangs, Adam's energy and charisma as a live performer in both band and solo settings has got audiences buzzing that his time may be now.
However, his musical pedigree goes way back to the mid 80s when he started playing guitar professionally with London psychobilly band the Zombie Rockers. With more than 20 years' playing, writing, gigging and recording experience Adam now divides his time between teaching, songwriting, session work, and both his solo work and his playing with The Mustangs.
The Mustangs' fearsome reputation as a live act is in no small part due to Adam's energy and enthusiasm, and the band is being lauded in many quarters as the next great British blues band.
The band has now released 2 albums on their own label Raging Horse, all produced by Adam and made up entirely of original songs. They have been hugely well received and Let It Roll has been in the cd-wow unsigned Top 10 chart for more than a year.
Adam's solo work is more reflective and draws upon influences as diverse as Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra and John Barry. In 2004 he made his debut solo CD Shadow on the Hill, and is currently working on the follow up.
With a full schedule of solo and band gigs as well as new solo and Mustangs CDs in the pipeline, Adam's reputation as a singer, songwriter, guitarist and performer looks set to reach new heights.... |
